Jessica Marais has landed her first US role.

The Australian actress, who is best known for playing Rachel in family drama Packed to the Rafters, will be starring in The Magic City alongside Grey’s Anatomy actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Marais told The Daily Telegraph that she auditioned for the role in the ten-part series earlier this year and added: “[It's] very different to what I have been doing.”
